A sickening bias at Happy Valley on Wednesday night made black bookers difficult to find and the form will mostly be unreliable but one or two performed with credit against the disadvantage and punters could get a very quick return from one of them on Sunday.

Almost every winner on Wednesday was in front or within half a length of the lead straightening for home, regardless of pace. Few horses made much impression from off the pace in the final 300m, and those who did mostly came along the better rail section.
