Group One winner Hiyaam has been set some lofty targets for her spring campaign by trainer Mick Price.

The Gr.1 Vinery Stud Stakes (2000m) winner will be aimed towards a tilt at the Gr.1 Caulfield Cup (2400m) and Gr.1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) later this year, with Price having a longer-term goal of racing the New Zealand-bred High Chaparral filly in Dubai next year.

"I reckon she's a Caulfield Cup type horse with no weight," Price said. "She's owned in Dubai (by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Maktoum) and she might end up there next year for the World Cup Carnival. Hopefully we'll get her to the Caulfield Cup and possibly Melbourne Cup before then."
