Jockey Danny Nikolic's bid to appeal a police ban on him attending race courses has failed in the High Court.

The High Court in Canberra rejected Nikolic's application for special leave to appeal and awarded costs to the respondent, Victoria Police's chief commissioner.

Nikolic has been banned from attending specified racecourses during race meetings after police successfully challenged a court decision that overturned the exclusion order.
