New stable recruit Andoyas will make his first New Zealand public appearance at Tuesday’s Te Rapa trials.

The seven-year-old is now with Lance O’Sullivan and Andrew Scott after beginning his career in his native Germany before relocating to Hong Kong.

“We took him to Te Rapa last Saturday for a day out and he was well-behaved,” Scott said.

“He’s come to us with fresh legs. He’s sound and looks a really nice type of staying horse.”

Andoyas finished in the money in both of his starts in Germany before winning three races in Hong Kong from David Hall’s stable.
