Written Tycoon three-year-old Karisto is in prime condition ahead of Saturday week's Gr.2 Queensland Guineas (1600m) at Doomben, says co-trainer Andrew Forsman.

A winner of three of his nine starts, Karisto earned his shot at the set-weights age-group feature with a tenacious last-start win at Rotorua.

“It could yet be a hit-and-run mission - we'll just see,” said Forsman, who trains with Murray Baker.

“He's done really well over there, he's thriving. It's a bit hard to say how he will measure up against those horses over a mile, but he deserves his shot.”
