Group Three-winning mare Francaletta will have the opportunity to enhance her broodmare value when she lines up in Saturday’s Gr.1 Windsor Park Plate (1600m) at Hastings.

The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained mare disappointed when ninth in the Gr.1 Tarzino Trophy (1400m) after an eye-catching fresh-up fourth in the Gr.2 Lisa Chittick Foxbridge Plate (1200m).

The daughter of High Chaparral had a testing trial at Cambridge last week to fit her for Saturday.

“She is going to press on to the Windsor Park Plate and Michael Coleman will ride her there,” Forsman said.

“That is why we gave her a good hit-out at the trials last Thursday. She will have a couple of good gallops this week which should top her off nicely.”

A stud career beckons Francaletta, who has been Group Two placed on two occasions.

“She will be covered this spring,” Forsman said. “She is going to go to Savabeel.”
