Scheduled to open its doors in 2020, a new property will debut at Karaka with a 120-room hotel under the management of DoubleTree by Hilton.

The Karaka Hotel, under the management of DoubleTree by Hilton, will open in 2020.

Attending New Zealand Bloodstock’s Sales and inspecting horses will be even easier with this new-build hotel and the accompanying facilities available to be enjoyed by vendors, buyers and racing enthusiasts.

“Developing the hotel under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand is the perfect complement to Karaka,” New Zealand Bloodstock Managing Director Andrew Seabrook said.

“Our international clients, globe-trotting tourists and local travellers alike will be able to take full advantage of this first-rate hotel brand and outstanding service.

“Our complex also offers a variety of conference, meeting and event spaces, along with world-class thoroughbred auctions, further enriching the DoubleTree customer experience here at Karaka.”

Construction of the hotel will commence by Q3 2018 and is due for completion by early 2020. The hotel will feature 120 guest rooms including four spacious suites, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym, pool and two meeting rooms. The hotel will also have full access to the Karaka Pavilion which encompasses four meeting and event spaces that can accommodate events from 12 to 600 people.

With the Karaka Sales Centre located just 30 minutes south of Auckland city, and in the idyllic destination of Karaka, the investment into DoubleTree by Hilton Karaka will raise the world-class Karaka experience to another level.
