A debut second has proved enough to gain Thomas Aquinas a start in the Karaka Million (1200m) at Ellerslie.

The Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman-trained Jakkalberry colt finished runner-up behind his stablemate Cutadeel at Tauranga last week and the $4500 earned has him in the starting line-up.

“He’s going to be running on Saturday,” Baker said. “He’s not a bad type of colt.”
