Cambridge trainer Mark Forbes will line-up stable runners Dragon and Royal Fashion at the Te Rapa jump-outs on Monday ahead of potential black-type targets.

Mark Forbes - Tara Hughes

“Dragon is coming along nicely, he was due to have a run but the weather turned on us, so we gave him three weeks off and he’s been back in for five or six weeks,” Forbes said.

“He’ll be targeted toward the (NZ 2000) Guineas if he comes up good enough.”

Forbes is happy with stakes performer Royal Fashion and said she could possibly run in the Gr.2 Lisa Chittick Foxbridge Plate later this month.

“She’s coming along super. She was due to trial on Tuesday, but the track was still a heavy 10 so we pulled her out and she’ll go to the jump-outs on Monday.
