NZ Thoroughbred Racing CEO Bernard Saundry today confirmed the resignation of senior management team member Matthew Hall.

As NZTR’s GM of Racing and Handicapping, Hall has been a member of the code governing body’s frontline in a role that has provided an important link to a wide range of key stakeholder groups.

“For the past three years, Matt has managed the Racing and Handicapping team, working closely with the NZTR Board and staff, racing clubs, NZRB, RIU and sector organisations,” commented Saundry.

“He has made a major contribution to the development of racing in New Zealand and we sincerely thank Matt for his commitment and professional approach during his time at NZTR.

“His work has been reflected in the advances in the handicapping system, race programming and the racing calendar.”

Hall’s final day at NZTR will be August 11, after which he will take time out traveling to Europe before returning to his home town of Melbourne.

“We wish Matt all the very best in his future endeavours and he will always be welcome at NTZR,” Saundry said.
