Awapuni warhorse Authentic Paddy has returned to Lisa Latta’s Awapuni yard to commence his quest for further top-flight honours.

“He’s had a nice break and he’s back in now and looking really good,” she said.

Authentic Paddy’s record features a victory in the Gr.3 Canterbury Gold Cup among his 10 wins and he also has Group One placings in the Herbie Dyke Stakes, Zabeel Classic (twice) and the Captain Cook Stakes (twice).

He has been a regular competitor at Hawke’s Bay spring carnivals and will again head toward the Hastings festival.
