The country's leading trainers notched their 100th winner of the season at Pukekohe Park on Wednesday afternoon.

Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman hit the century mark when they produced Checkout to land the New Zealand Bloodstock Insurance Pearl Series Race.

"It's been a good season, obviously, but a bit frustrating in the last week with a few seconds," Forsman said. "We're thankful to all the owners who have supported us and to all of our staff."

The three-year-old Checkout has improved with each run this preparation and her maiden victory came off a third at Hawera over 1200m.

"The step up to the mile today was the key and it was a good effort, she dug deep," Forsman said.

Raced by breeders Waikato Stud, Checkout is a daughter of Savabeel and the Group Two winner Shopaholic.
