If looks are any indication, then Prince Hareem is going to make his mark in serious company.

"He's gorgeous, just a beautiful animal," Cambridge trainer and part-owner Stephen Marsh said.

The Iffraaj colt also ticks the pedigree box as he is a son of the Last Tycoon mare Riesling, the mother of the Gr.3 Manawatu Classic winner Valpolicella.

She is in turn the dam of the Gr.2 Sir Tristram Fillies' Classic winner Vavasour and the Gr.2 Autumn Classic winner and Gr.1 Queensland Derby placegetter Vilanova, who raced here as Catalonia.

"He was passed in at Karaka and we did a deal afterwards to get him," Marsh said.

Prince Hareem finished runner-up in his first two appearances before he broke his maiden in fine style last time out at Hastings.

"We probably rode him a couple of spots handier than we should have at Matamata and at Rotorua and when we rode him off the pace the other day he really attacked the line," Marsh said.

"He's still a raw type and there's a lot of improvement in him – we're not completely ruling out Brisbane for him."

Prince Hareem is likely to make his next appearance in Saturday's The Clubhouse Café & Sports Bar Premier at Te Rapa on Saturday.

Marsh also produced Andado to extend his winning sequence to three and to complete a stable double at the recent Hawke's Bay meeting.

"He's been racing every couple of weeks and we don't do anything with him in between times," he said.

"He's a very clean-winded horse and a pleasure to train. He spends a lot of his time on the treadmill.

"He's got a good cruising speed and he just skips over the wetter tracks."

Andado will be chasing his fourth consecutive win in Saturday's Tivaci @ Waikato Stud 1400 at Hastings.
