Shane Crawford isn't expecting Swiss Military to be around his stable for too much longer.

The Cambridge trainer is readying the three-year-old for an overseas career and he could make his final New Zealand appearance in the Next Meeting Sat May 13th Rating 65 at the Taranaki meeting on Thursday.

"I'm getting him ready for Hong Kong and hopefully he will do the job at New Plymouth," Crawford said.

"If he wins he'll end up on a Rating 70 and he's qualified to go. I'm putting the blinkers on him so he's there to win."

That wouldn't be a new experience for Swiss Military, who was successful on debut at Rotorua at the end of last month.

"He's a really nice horse and he's improved since then," Crawford said of the Swiss Ace gelding, who will again be ridden by Craig Grylls.

The Matamata jockey is also booked for stablemate Tuscan Whistler, who is tipped to give a bold account of himself in the Stella Artois Maiden.

"I expect him to go a big race, he's fit and ready to go," Crawford said.

Tuscan Whistler was put aside after he ran fifth on the course at the first time of asking in the spring and he has had two recent trials to fit him for his return.

Crawford also has two representatives, Asylum Seeker and All About Doom, in the Comcat Highweight.

"Asylum Seeker has been doing a bit of schooling and he'll probably end up doing a bit of jumping later on," Crawford said.

"He'd probably prefer a better track so I'd favour All About Doom. He's ready and it's not a strong field."
