The Waipa meeting scheduled for Wednesday has been abandoned due to torrential and persistent rain.

The decision was made after Racing Integrity Unit and club representatives inspected the course on Tuesday afternoon. The track had received 54mm of rain in the morning and the forecast for the next 24 hours is also for further heavy rain.

The Counties nominations for Sunday, April 9 remain open and NZTR will look to add a race or races to meetings in the next two weeks.
