Rosie Myers will be out of action for some time after suffering a suspected broken leg at the Wanganui jump-outs on Friday morning.
Her partner William Fell, of Goodwood Stud, said he had spoken to her on her way to hospital and they feared the worst.
"It happened in the gates and she just got caught up. It will probably be six or eight weeks before she's back on track."
On Thursday, Myers had gone within a half-head at Ellerslie of Group One success aboard Benzini in the New Zealand Stakes.
