The well-related Miss Wilson will be presented with an opportunity next time out to boost her future value.

The half-sister by Stratum to the multiple Group One winner Jimmy Choux is in career best form ahead of her shot at a Group Three feature.

"We're going to stretch her out in the Cuddle Stakes at Wellington on Saturday week and see if she can get the mile, and I think she will," trainer John Bary said.

"Hopefully she will get a start and at set weights and penalties she gets in with 55kg."

Miss Wilson finished in the money in her first three starts for Bary after which she joined Simon Morrish's Ballarat stable.

She won once there and finished fourth in the Listed Dandenong Plate before breeder-owners Richard and Liz Wood decided to bring her home.

Miss Wilson has been unbeaten in three appearances in her second stint with Bary, who was particularly satisfied with the four-year-old's most recent success at Hawke's Bay.

"She was giving the second horse three kilos and she was under pressure - it was really nice to see her pins her ears back and win like she did," he said.

Bary is also counting down to a black type start at Trentham for Xcuses Xcuses, successful last time out at Awapuni.

"We'll probably have a go at the Lightning with her, she runs well at Wellington and she deserves a shot at it," he said.

Xcuses Xcuses has won four of her 23 starts and she also a 11 minor placings to her credit.

"She's very genuine and while she may be limited, she always gives her best and you love training horses like her," Bary said.
