Randwick’s meeting on Saturday has received 179 nominations with 16 for the feature $150,000, listed June Stakes (1100m) with the track likely to be rain impacted for the first time in weeks with heavy rain forecast on Tuesday.

Newcastle’s Jason Deamer has Bon Amis ready to resume after two trials with the last an easy win over 1000m at Wyong on May 22nd. The five-year-old Bon Hoffa gelding was last seen when winning at Rosehill in a Benchmark 88 over 1100m on January 19th. The consistent sprinter has won seven of his 15 starts with stakes earning of $376,805.

Gary Moore has nominated his three-year-old Hostwin Supreme with the trainer declaring after the Zoustar’s gelding’s win at Rosehill over 1100m on May 18th that he was a better sprinter than Moore’s former Group 1 winner Takedown. It was the second win in succession for Hostwin Supreme as he stepped up to Saturday class. Hostwin Supreme is dual nominated for the listed Daybreak Lover (1200m) at Eagle Farm.

Another three-year-old nominated is the Hawkes’ trained Heart Conquered who is coming off two placings in succession. The first was over 1000m on the Kensington track on May 4th when he was third to Brook Magic and November Man and the second was when carrying 54kg to be second behind Deprive with 53kg over 1100m in the At Sea Handicap at Randwick on May 25th.

Joe Pride’s Brook Magic is nominated after the four-year-old Hinchinbrook mare won her first up assignment on the 4th.

The Snowden stable have nominated I Thought So. The five-year-old So You Think gelding was third to Jungle Edge in last year’s June Stakes with the track a Heavy 9. While the track is unlikely to be that heavy, hopefully, on Saturday conditions will suit I Thought So after the rain earlier in the week.

If he starts this will be his first race since July last year. Since April the stable have trialled him three times for a third, win and a last start second.

The rail will be out 3m for the entire circuit.

Sydney’s forecast has a major rain event on Tuesday with 30mm to 50mm possible and 8mm to 15mm on Wednesday with the rain concentrated on the Sydney coastal strip. Fine weather returns on Thursday and Friday with 19c. Saturday’s forecast is for a partly cloudy day with 11c – 20c.
