English will represent TAB in its slot in Australia’s richest race – The Everest.
The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott trained Group 1 winner has firmed from $15 into $13 to win the $5.8 million first place prize on October 14.
Tabcorp Chief Operating Officer – Wagering and Media Craig Nugent said on Wednesday that the organisation is excited to partner with one of the top hopes in the race.
“With some of the world’s best sprinters on show, we are thrilled to be part of such a great concept as The Everest,” Nugent said.
“With English in our corner we think we have a great chance of being part of history and winning the inaugural race. We have been working closely with English’s connections and will unveil some exciting initiatives for our customers in the build up to The Everest. Importantly for TAB, there is natural alignment with English’s owners given the team at Newhaven Park Stud is also actively involved in running some of Sydney’s biggest PubTABs,” said Nugent.
Waterhouse said she is also looking forward to being part of The Everest with TAB.
