Brisbane's premier raceday featuring the A$1.5 million Stradbroke Handicap will be run at Doomben in another significant outcome over issues with the Eagle Farm track.

Earlier yesterday, Racing Queensland announced the transfer of this Saturday's Queensland Oaks meeting to Doomben despite the objections of the Brisbane Racing Club. Later in the day, RQ confirmed the Stradbroke meeting on June 10 would also be run on the other side of Nudgee Road.

RQ chief executive Dr Eliot Forbes said the administrative body would be working closely with the BRC to come up with a solution to the problems at Eagle Farm.

While some horses handled the track last Saturday, including Kingsford-Smith Cup winner Clearly Innocent, trainers reported that others pulled up with problems.

The track was rated in the heavy range despite no rain or irrigation on the track for more than a week and the surface was loose.

Clearly Innocent is the TAB's $4 favourite for the Stradbroke ahead of Counterattack ($6.50), third in the Kingsford Smith, and runner-up Jungle Edge ($9).

Black Heart Bart was given topweight of 58.5kg for the Stradbroke when weights were declared yesterday, but will not run.

The Kris Lees-trained Clearly Innocent and Lindsay Park's Goodwood winner Vega Magic are next on 55.5kg.

The next acceptance stage is tomorrow with the Stradbroke topweight to carry a minimum 57kg.
