A Wyong two-year-old maiden could be a defining moment for leading sire Snitzel.

His daughter Madonnica runs in today's 1100-metre race, and if she wins she will give Snitzel a record 31 individual juvenile winners for the season.

As he did last year, Snitzel has equalled Without Fear's mark established in 1975/76 with 28 two-year-old winners in Australia, one in New Zealand and one in South Africa.

The Arrowfield stallion is also leading the general sires lists in both prize-money and number of winners.
