Jeff Lloyd has wasted no time on his return from a suspension to set a record for the most winners by a jockey in the Queensland metropolitan season.

Lloyd equalled Chris Munce's record of 103 two weeks ago, but then had to serve a three-meeting suspension incurred on his Golden Slipper mount Houtzen.

At his second ride back at the Sunshine Coast this afternoon, Lloyd led all the way on the Desleigh Forster-trained Sun Deck.

Sun Deck ($8.50) held on to beat the favourite Nashville Skyline ($1.60) by a neck in the Two-Year-Old Hcp.

The meeting was transferred to the Sunshine Coast to give the city tracks of Doomben and Eagle Farm a rest before the winter carnival, but it carried metropolitan status.

Lloyd is the new record holder at 104 wins, but with three months of the season remaining, it is sure he will set a higher mark.

"It is an honour to hold the record and hopefully the run will continue," Lloyd said.

Sun Deck is a half-sister by Golden Archer to the Forster-trained Group One placegetter I'm Belucci.

"I put blinkers on her and that seems to have done the trick," Forster said. "The problem is finding a race which is long enough for her. She was suited at the 1400 metres today but finding another one might be a bit hard."
