Hong Kong-based Australian jockey Zac Purton has been ruled out of the Golden Slipper meeting with an ear infection.
Purton, who was due to ride Teaspoon in Saturday's A$3.5 million Slipper at Rosehill, was stood down from riding at Happy Valley yesterday.
Today the jockey announced on Twitter he would not be making the trip to Sydney to ride the Michael Freedman-trained filly.
