Damien Oliver will miss next Saturday after being suspended for careless riding in the Australian Cup.

Oliver rode Exospheric into third place in yesterday's Australian Cup at Flemington, but was suspended after pleading guilty to careless riding for shifting in at the 150-metre mark of the Group One race, causing Tally to be checked.

Oliver's 12-meeting ban starts after tomorrow's Moonee Valley meeting and he will miss next Saturday. That is Golden Slipper day in Sydney while next Saturday's Melbourne meeting features the Gr. 2 Blamey Stakes.
