Champion country jockey Greg Ryan rode his 3500th career winner at Dubbo on Sunday.

Ryan, a late starter as a jockey, is in second place for all time wins by a jockey in Australia behind Robert Thompson.
Thompson, who is 57 and has been riding since 1973, has ridden 4262 winners in his career.
Ryan, 51, began riding only 27 years ago after serving an apprenticeship as a motor mechanic.
Dubbo-based Ryan passed the 3500 win milestone on his home track when he won the fourth race aboard Lalarbrook trained by Clint Lundholm.
Ryan went to 3501 wins when he won the fifth race aboard Faith'n'Courage for local trainer Lee Lunn.
